Tier II Support Specialist

Job Description:

Provide assorted printer\printing calls and Tier 2 support to EPA employees (Region 5).

Location: Ralph H. Metcalfe Federal Building 77 West Jackson Blvd Chicago Illinois 60604

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years computer/hardware/software troubleshooting experience and help desk support experience.
  • Have at least 3 years hands-on work experience of Microsoft Windows operating platforms.
  • Have at least 3 years’ hands-on work experience of Microsoft Office Suite Application.
  • Have at least 3 years’ hands-on work experience of printers and software. Have at least 3 years Windows 7 or Windows 10 software or equivalent software.
  • Tier 2 support including software, pcs/laptops/tablets, smart phones and printers/multi-functional devices (MFD).
  • Resolve escalated printer and printing calls. Troubleshoot local and network printers as well as, computer hardware and software issues. Order printer supplies, maintain regional network printers and contacts vendors for parts or escalation of problems.
  • Demonstrate above average verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Answers 3-Help User Support Help line and provides first line computer support if needed.
  • Advances problem calls to second line support and create Remedy tickets for Technician visits

Education: BA/BS in Computer Science field preferred

Clearance: Must be Eligible

Certifications: MCP
