Tool Room Manager/Tool & Cutter Grinder
FULLY AIR-CONDITIONED FACILITY
Command Technology Inc is seeking an experienced Tool Room Manager to set up and distribute tooling to all machines on the shop floor, taking care of tool sets according to instructions on SET UP SHEETS. This will include type of tool, diameter, length or length of cut, relief if necessary and out of tool holder. The individual will work closely with CNC machinists /CNC set up machinist and operators. Also, based on experience, will make recommendations to improve quality of parts and productivity. Will work closely with programmers, quality control and purchasing. In some cases, modifying or creating tooling for assembly, sharpening tools for deburring and bonding departments. Must have the ability to use tool and cutter grinding equipment to resharpen or regrind end mills, drills, spotdrills, angle cutters, reamers and modify taps. Need to have knowledge of Tool Presetter and Heat Shrink Technology. Must be a team player and interact well with fellow employees and management. A highly regarded work ethic and pleasant attitude is a plus.
