Tool Room Utility 3rd Shift

Increased Wages and New Hire/Retention Bonus. New hires will receive a retention bonus of $2,000 after reaching 90 days of employment with an additional retention bonus of $1,000 after reaching 180 days of employment.

Associates primary responsibility will be the task of assembly and disassembly of LPPM Casting Dies, Die Installation and Removal, Tool Room Organization and Support all other Tool Room departments
Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain production and prototype tooling for foundry and trim operations
• Make and install standard components for production tooling
• Install or Pull Cast or Trim Tooling per Production Scheduling
• Disassemble molds to be repaired and/or reworked
• Clean all mold components including cavity surface utilizing the shot blaster
• Perform Leak tests on all molds prior to die leaving the Tool Room
• Assemble molds after repair process is complete and place back in storage area
• Maintain daily cast and trim die status logs
• Ensure all appropriate tooling processes are followed and documentation is completed
• Maintain communication with other team members including daily job assignments and break relief
• Ensure they are compliant with plant safety rules / regulations and required PPE
• Using tow motor to bring molds to and from storage area
• Using tow motor to install or remove tooling from trim presses
• Work conjunction with Production for scheduled or unscheduled changes
• Conduct minor repair to molds, in production, that may have broken bolts, leaks or cavity issues
• Assist in maintaining storage area including house keeping
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent technical experience.
• Previous Tooling experience is preferred.
• Must have experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have a good work ethic and self-motivated
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a GA tow motor license
• Must possess minimal tools to do the job
• Must have the ability of lifting 60 lbs.

Working conditions and environment
Extensive exposure to foundry/manufacturing environment with exposure to high noise, heat, hazards of moving equipment, and molten metal. Use of protective equipment to protect eyes, feet, ears, and potential burn areas
Normal equipment used
Hand tools, grinders, welders, precision measuring tools, and heavy lifting equipment
