Hermitage Farm is looking for charming, outgoing Tour Guides. Our ideal Tour Guides have strong communication skills and vocal projection, can deliver scripted information in an enthusiastic, engaging manner, and are comfortable around animals.
Tour Guides will lead guests on a variety of 40-minute tours, including a tour through a historic house and its outbuildings, a tour through our Sport Horse driving operation, a tour of our Thoroughbred breeding operation, and a tour of our gardens and greenhouses. Tour Guides will also learn to lead a bourbon tasting and a scripted cocktail mixology class.
We will be offering all tour guides extensive training with Hermitage’s experts in all of these fields. You will gain knowledge of bartending, horticulture, history, and the equine industry, as well as complete training to become a Certified Bourbon Steward.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Farm guests safely through approved tour routes
- Memorize tour/class scripts
- Engage with guests and be prepared to answer questions
- Independent study and research
- Teach mixology classes and help guests craft their own cocktails
- Set up classes
- Clean up after classes
- Occasionally drive patrons in a golf cart
Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Improv or theatre background, food service/bartending experience, and horse industry experience are a plus, but not required!

Job Type: Full-Time. We offer tours between 9am and 8pm every day. Full-time shifts and part-time schedule are flexible—schedule is made bi-weekly and is based on advance bookings and daily scheduled tours.
