InfoWest is looking to fill a full time Tower Technician position in our Cedar City, UT Office.

An InfoWest Tower Technician is responsible for the proper operation of a large group of Network Elements, including but not limited to the following; installation of wireless equipment/fiber on towers, Building and ground, preventative maintenance and optimization, emergency outage response.

Tower Technician Job Responsibilities:

• Install/maintain wired and wireless internet equipment.
• Maintain company issued assets including tools, equipment & vehicles.
• Install battery backups and grounding systems for equipment.
• Equipment preparation.
• Follow training protocols and preform the job safety.
• Ability to work well with a team as well as independently when required.
• Drive company vehicles.
• Able to lift over 75 pounds

Skills and Requirements for Position:

• Rotational on call
• Proficient computer skills
• Must have the physical ability and the willingness to climb towers.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to climb towers while adhering to all safety procedures
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current valid Utah Driver’s License
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Respect and Courtesy of other team members and customers is required
• Previous experience using hand and power tools
• DC/AC electrical skills
• Must pass a background check, MVR check, & drug screen

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Must be able to climb and perform work at various heights for long periods of time.
• Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 75 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
• Must be able to pull his/her own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower repeatedly for long periods of time
• May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
• Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
