SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the oversight and administration of Evergreens employee training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Oversee and administer all aspects of employee training for the organization to include the following:

  • New Employee Onboarding
    • Collaborate with each department head to create a formalized new employee onboarding training program to include required content, scheduling, assigned trainer, and a recording of training completed. Each onboarding training should correspond to the specific job type within each Evergreen business unit.
    • Administer the onboarding training program for each employee to ensure that all aspects of assigned training are completed within the time frames set forth and that the employee is fully prepared to meet the requirements of his or her job responsibilities.

  • Ongoing Employee Training
    • Collaborate with each department head to create an ongoing training program for employees subject to needs and requirements of each department. This shall include training subjects and topics that are specific to the job skills for a particular job type. As an example, for property managers, subjects, and topics to be trained would including, among other areas, the following:
      • Leasing and Resident Lease File Processing
      • Compliance
      • RealPage/OneSite Use
      • Payroll and Employee Management
      • Customer Service
      • Budgeting, Accounts Payable Processing, and Financial Statement Analysis
      • Rent Collection and Lease Enforcement
      • Risk Management and Mitigation
    • Administer existing employee training programs and record/track all training completed by employees.
    • Create and implement creative, effective training presentations and methodologies to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness of training programs, utilizing a combination of video, remote online, and in-person training as well as one-on-one and group trainings conducted using both internal and external resources, where applicable.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of a detailed, interactive, operational training and resource guide to be used by employees in performing their day-to-day jobs with an emphasis on creating standardization, consistency, and predictability within and across the organization.
    • Identify outside training resources and create a mix of internal and external resources for ongoing training in all disciplines in order to maximize performance and professional growth.
    • Identify ways to maximize the use of technology in training to improve access, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
    • Where applicable, personally conduct training on subject matter material as requested and necessary.

  • Compliance
    • Be familiar with and knowledgeable of all regulatory requirements related to the various funding programs utilized by Evergreen properties, particularly the requirements of the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program and the project-based Section 8 housing subsidy program.

  • Human Resources Professional Development
    • Work with the Human Resources and Operations team to create training and development opportunities to assist in their professional growth and opportunities for advancement within the organization.

  • Reporting
    • Develop and present periodic reporting on key performance indicators regarding training and development to the EVP.

  • General
    • Attend meetings and corporate functions, and prepare/present reports, as requested.
