Mercy Multiplied exists to provide opportunities for all to experience God’s unconditional love, forgiveness, and life-transforming power. Mercy’s residential counseling program is voluntary, biblically-based, and helps young women ages 13–32 break free from life-controlling issues and situations, including anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, addictions, unplanned pregnancy, and sex trafficking. These residential services are offered free-of-charge. In September of 2020, Mercy Multiplied launched its first Mercy Multiplied Center for Wellness and Counseling in Monroe/West Monroe, LA offering free-of-charge outpatient counseling to that community. Our Outreach Services train and resource men and women to effectively support and minister to those who are hurting and struggling through workshops, videos, podcasts, discipleship teaching, and other practical resources. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Treasury & Development Assistant at our corporate office located in Nashville, Tennessee.
Hours: 40 hours a week, M - F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour
To be successful in this role, one must have the following:
Thorough understanding of, and dedication to, the vision of Mercy Multiplied, along with demonstrated Christian work ethics.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience in non-profit fundraising and communications preferred.
Must have a high school diploma or pass a general education development exam (GED).
Demonstrated proficiency in administrative/clerical and computer skills, along with organizational abilities.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills necessary.
Multi-task oriented, excellent time management, and great attention to detail.
Basic computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Must have excellent organization and writing skills.
Willingness to be flexible and help out in other areas at any time.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment and exercise mature judgment.
Treasury Responsibilities:
Support Donor Database and Cash Receipts Manager in processing of the following:
incoming cash receipts to include check deposit via remote deposit:
credit cards
web online reporting
cash deposits
Prepare and distribute daily web giving report.
Process mail by campaign code and prepare mail email report for distribution.
Accurately record all checks into database and create new accounts as needed.
Assist with prepping/processing/ printing donor acknowledgement communication weekly using mail merge.
Run daily NPSP imports, online gift import, and other daily hygiene reports to ensure donor’s record is accurate.
Compile and manage daily reports from Square, Classy, and home deposits.
Answer all Treasury calls, record notes from the call and process gift payments and/or refunds as needed.
Answer inquiries about giving history for donors.
Pray with donors as they have prayer requests and add prayer requests to their file in donor database.
Process staff resource orders, scan and save cash receipts.
Communicate with donors regarding lapsed gifts:
obtain updated credit card/ACH information.
Support Donor Database and Cash Receipts manager post events (Friends of Mercy Luncheons, 5K, Merry Mercy, etc.) in processing:
donations in forms of cash or check
post event reporting.
Enter tour contact information into database and record date and location and other important notes from the tour.
Upload donor notes, prayer requests and signed letters from Founder & President’s office to donor database.
Keep calendars updated with events including all Founder and President speaking engagements and projects for staff as appropriate.
Development Responsibilities:
Serve as back up for administrative support for Senior Director, Engagement & Development
Compile and distribute Development weekly team reports as needed.
Organize birthday card mailings and donor thank you cards.
Other administrative support as needed.
Other:
Work dates in December from 9am-4pm during Christmas break as scheduled.
