CARLISLE TREE FARM FOREMAN

Join a growing tree farm in the center of East Texas as we develop our long-range plans in this exciting industry.

Position Description: The Tree Farm Foreman will serve as a vital link to the success of this endeavor as this individual will be responsible for the overseeing the cultivation and marketing of the trees. This position will be expected to manage the Tree Farm workers and day-to-day operations under the direction of the Tree Farm Manager.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain accurate computerized farm inventory records
• Supervise VISA laborers in daily operations
• Maintain communication with the Farm Manager regarding all aspects of farm operations
• Coordinate with the Farm Manager to create and implement recording systems
• Oversee maintenance of all farm equipment and ensure it is maintained in proper working condition
• Ensure that the Farm meets OSHA specifications
• Complete projects on-time and within budget

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Must be fluent in English and Spanish
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in construction/farming/landscaping and/or irrigation
• Must be able to operate heavy equipment proficiently with experience driving with trailer/gooseneck
• Computer: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Organized; capable of maintaining plant treatment records, inventory, etc.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record required; must meet company insurance eligibility requirements
• Required to pass background check as well as drug tests
• Communicate effectively both with management as well as workers
• Attention to detail; exhibit problem-solving skills as well as the ability to motivate
• Ability and willingness to work flexible schedule

• Safety: Ability to safely lift objects in excess of 50 lbs. and work within safety standards.

Work Hours/Compensation:

This is a full-time position, which provides competitive pay commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
