Outside the Box: Creative Tutoring is looking for individuals who love teaching. We need people who can tutor in a variety of areas, so no matter your expertise, we can find you students. We tutor all subjects preK-12 and have also worked with college students and test prep students. We need tutors on hand as school year is vamping up. You will be working as a contractor, this isn't a guaranteed job. We will advertise for you and do the best we can to get you students. When we find a student right for you, we'll contact you and you can tell us what you have available and set your own schedule with the student.
We want our tutors to have a passion for teaching. We make the learning process fun using games, humor, and the arts to reach students. Our students enjoy coming to tutoring. We don't want to make it another hour of their day where they feel forced to work and dread doing it. Learning should be fun, our goal is to show our students that they can enjoy the process.
*We are especially looking for tutors who can teach high school mathematics and science including calculus and physics. We also love to be able to offer unique topics such as foreign languages and various skills. We aren't limiting our search to those topics, though. We'd like tutors for all ages and subjects.
We are interested in tutors who can tutor in person at various locations around Greater Grand Rapids. We generally meet at libraries. We occasionally get students who want virtual tutoring, but at this time we are interested in tutors who will be able to do in person sessions. I listed Wyoming above because a location was required, but we are looking for tutors all over Greater Grand Rapids. Jenison, Comstock Park, Walker, Ada, Cascade, Kentwood, etc.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Most of our sessions meet in libraries, others, especially older students, are okay doing remote learning through Zoom with us.
