The UM Administration Coordinator 2 contributes to administration of utilization management.

Responsibilities

The UM Administration Coordinator 2 provides non-clinical support for the policies and procedures ensuring best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members.

  • Will handle requests from the provider side (doctors, primary care physicians, specialists, etc.).
  • Make outbound calls to providers to verify clinical information
  • Document calls and attach clinical information received

Required Qualifications – What it takes to Succeed

  • 1 or more years of customer service experience in healthcare or medical field
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with diagnosis codes & CPT codes
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM EST OR Tuesday- Saturday 8AM-5PM EST

Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
