Claude H. Nix Construction is a leader in Underground and Trenchless Construction. We are family owned and have been in business for over 45 years. We are an establish business that is growing and we have an immediate need for an experienced Vacuum Excavator / Jetter Truck Operator.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Live our Core Values: Safety, Honor, Communication, Innovation, and Strength.
• The position involves SAFELY driving and operating a vacuum excavating combo truck.
• Proficiently perform vacuum excavating.
• Proficiently clean existing underground pipes with a high pressure water jetter.
• Keep assigned truck, and or equipment, clean, neat, and maintained.
• Perform preventative maintenance on your assigned truck or equipment.
• Supervision of a laborer, assigned to help on truck.
• Other duties may include: Assisting with pipeline pressure testing, Assisting with video inspection of underground pipelines, Assisting with underground construction project (we like to cross train).
• Represent our company in a safe, professional manner.
• Help to maintain a safe and neat work site or area.
• Always work safe and us the proper tool and/or rigging for the task at hand.
• Follow our Core Values of Honor, Integrity, Safety, Communication, Teamwork, and Know-how .

Qualifications and Skills

• BE A SAFE WORKER
• Safe driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation to get to the shop or truck staging site.
• Be in good physical condition. Be able to lift items in excess of 50 LBS.
• Class A CDL with NO Restrictions, Tank endordement in good standing.
• 1 year experience driving a Vactor truck with air brakes.
• Some mechanical ability is a plus.
• Any type of safety training from a previous experience is a plus.
• A great attitude and willingness to learn.
