Valet/Bellhop Job at Park Place Parking

Park Place Parking is searching for Bellhop/Valet attendants for the Guest Services team of the Claridge, Showboat and Sheraton hotels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving property.
  • Inform guests of property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
  • Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell area.
  • Assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
  • Assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including assisting guests with loading/unloading luggage.
  • Safely park guest cars in an efficient manner.
  • Abides by all Park Place Parking safety standards and training
  • Verifies ownership of vehicles – keys for claim check
  • Be able to preform and stay organized under stress
  • Maintain a high level of integrity in regards to guest’s vehicles and personal possessions
  • Supply guests with directions.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Carefully and efficiently park, secure, and retrieve vehicles
  • Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
  • Support team to reach common goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States of America.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional with demanding guests and in difficult situations.
  • Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including the anticipation of what needs to be done before it becomes necessary.
  • A team player, that is flexible and willing to help support the hotel’s goals and the ability to support other hotels rooms operations.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that is dictated by our guest demand and may include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Abilities Required:

  • Frequent walking, bending, balancing, stopping, reaching, pushing, lifting, manual dexterity and repetitive motions.

Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.

  • Move at a speed that is required to respond to work situations (e. g., run, walk, jog).

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.

  • Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds.
  • Schedule varies according to operational needs; may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and split-shifts.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
