VEHICLE ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

Technicians perform troubleshooting, programming, and installation of radio communications and large-scale solutions as well as vehicle lighting and equipment.

Those who serve our communities count on this equipment in the moments that matter. In this position, you have the opportunity to serve those who serve by installing communications equipment and upfitting vehicles with lighting and added features.

Candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check and have a clean driving record. In addition, candidate must be able to bend, twist, reach and move within confined spaces to fulfill the responsibilities of this position. Installers and Technicians are also provided with:

• Service vehicle and fuel credit card

Responsibilities:

• Fit and mount in-vehicle communications equipment, wiring, and lighting.
• Install and provide technical support for Two-way radio, RF, and data systems
• Analyze and comprehend diagnostic test results in order to repair and program radios and wireless equipment.
• Discuss questions and problems with customers in a positive and professional manner in-person or via email or phone.

Desired Skill Sets:

• Strong communication and organizational skills, sense of responsibility, and a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of electronics relevant to communications and data equipment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Basic electronics knowledge

• High School diploma or equivalent

Schedule: Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00am-5:00pm

Classification: Full-time, hourly non-exempt

Compensation: Starting hourly rate is $18.00-23.00 per hour
