Vehicle Test Engineer Job at Actalent Services
Actalent is hiring a Vehicle Test Engineer with experience in automotive product development or a manufacturing environment. You will be testing large-scale vehicles in a research & development environment. We're looking for problem solvers who like to get their hands dirty and are solutions-oriented engineers.
Job Requirements:
- 1+ years of post-college experience or translatable work experience within the automotive industry
- Knowledge of diesel engine combustion, after treatment, and, control systems
- Instrumentation installation, troubleshooting, calibration
- Experience Chassis or Towable Chassis Dyno
- Familiar with Vector CANape and CANalyzer If possible
- Mechatronics background (Software/CAL Flashing)
- Proficient with Microsoft Tools
- Python Experience
- Familiarity with systematic problem-solving techniques
- Able to travel 40% of the year (Remote Testing)
- Able to provide clear directions to achieve test objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Automotive / Mechatronics / Electrical / Electronics / Controls Engineering
- Knowledge of diesel engine and after-treatment operation and emissions
- Strong fundamentals in engineering thermodynamics
- Ability to communicate and maintain professional and social interaction in a multi-cultural environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
