Job Description:
Vendor Managers are responsible for developing vendor relationships, maintaining inventory levels, analyzing market pricing, and negotiating vendor contracts. As the ‘business owner’ for your vendor group, you must drive initiatives to increase sales and gross profit. The ideal Vendor Manager candidate will be skilled in analyzing data, negotiating, communicating, establishing efficient ways to manage inventory, and problem-solving in a fast-paced, challenging work environment. We are looking for self-starting, confident, intelligent, detail-oriented individuals who want to make an impact in a busy and growing company. This position is full-time and located in Lancaster, PA, but is remote-friendly/hybrid-friendly for those within a 2-hour driving radius.
Vendor Managers serve Clark’s procurement division, which buys products for our various distribution channels (industry leading Ecommerce platform WebstaurantStore.com, The Restaurant Stores, Clark National Accounts, Clark Food Service Equipment, and 11400, Inc.). In 2021, we did $2.5B in sales from a catalog of 400K+ SKUs.
Job Responsibilities
- Effectively managing vendor relationships
- Maximizing the sales and gross profit of vendors
- Negotiating vendor contracts and order discounts
- Analyzing market data to set pricing strategies
- Formulating and implementing stocking strategies
- Generating creative ideas for process improvement

- We consider applicants with diverse majors and work history; however, applicants frequently have education in Business Management, Supply Chain, Business Logistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant positions include Buyer, Procurement Manager, Sourcing Operations Analyst, Technical Buyer, Pricing Analyst, and Supply Chain Manager.
