Curo Pet Care is a family owned veterinary services business with partner hospital locations throughout California as well as several in nearby western states. Both our acquired location and start-up rosters are undergoing rapid development and our team is scaling accordingly.

Working under both our Finance Department and Transitions team, the Accounts Manager is a bit of a hybrid operations / accounts payable role. From a high-level perspective, you will effectively own vendor account transition/setup and maintenance for each of our hospitals. Down in the weeds, this means you'll do everything from submitting account applications, to reviewing invoices which straddle ownership periods, to tracking monies owed to or by a seller, to setting up/processing recurring payments, to ensuring bills/statements are processed by our managers in a timely fashion, to posting the expenses/payments to Quickbooks.

Because you're so extraordinary, you will also lead the onboarding & training of our hospital managers to our various finance related platforms - Bill.com, eChecks, DropBox etc - and monitor their work for compliance with our standards and expectations.

Contextual awareness, a love of paperwork (even digital 'paperwork'), and an unrivaled ability to capture the details that matter versus those that don't are key to making this a success. You'll be processing applications and bills following a prescriptive method and with minimal oversight, while also maintaining the awareness and confidence to raise a red flag when something does not fit the mold.

We are an evolving company and this is potentially an evolving position. While it won't go away, it does mean that it has the potential to morph as we continue to scale. This is the perfect opportunity for a veterinary or medical inside accounts rep looking to make something their own.

Veterinary experience is not required but you must be able to demonstrate relevant skills which should include strong experience with general bookkeeping/accounts payable and Microsoft Excel.
