Veterinary Financial Liaison

The Financial Liaison is an invaluable member of our Client Care Associates (CCA) team, dedicated to assisting clients with all aspects surrounding bill payment and payment and financing options. The Financial Liaison will also act as a CCA, and should consistently contribute to a spirit of pride and excitement in that each employee is part of a team practicing excellent medicine with a high standard of patient, client, and referring veterinarian care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate compassion when having difficult conversations surrounding financial concerns
  • Ability to clearly explain all financial options available to owner, as well as put together documents for the staff for use when liaison not available
  • Research and present to team any additional avenues of assistance for consideration
  • Provide customer service in a polite and timely manner
  • Ability to answer multiple phone lines, handle stressful and emotional situations
  • Closing of drawer and deposit procedures,
  • Maintaining an orderly and clean lobby, and facilitate all necessary paperwork through appropriate steps.
  • Future responsibilities may include: AR, end of day reconciliation

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in the veterinary hospital is preferred (technician, liaison, customer service) but position is open to the right person who gets it, wants, and is eager to learn
  • Professional, pleasant, engaged, clear communicator who is attentive and respectful to referring veterinarians, clients, and co-workers.
  • Must be able to balance multiple tasks, be confident, and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Computer experience (Word, Excel) and operation of office equipment such as, fax machine, copy machine, credit card and check terminal, and postage meter.
  • Related veterinary software (DVMax) and Care Credit knowledge preferred.
  • Must possess basic math skills to determine proper deposits and process payments
  • Ability to work regular 2nd shifts (nights/evenings) and weekends
