Veterinary Receptionist Job at Crossroads Animal Hospital
Our fast-paced animal clinic is looking to add a veterinary receptionist to our staff! Previous animal hospital experience is a must. Full-time and Part-time positions available.
Our receptionist are responsible for:
- Providing customer service such as greet customers, answer questions, process incoming patients, and handle payments.
- Answer phone calls, which may involve answering medical questions
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email.
- Updating patient accounts.
- Retrieve prescriptions.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the waiting room.
The skills that a good candidate should possess to succeed at this position are:
- Compassion and sensitivity: Having the ability to be sensitive to an ill pet, as well as concerned owners
- Customer service skills: Having the ability to provide friendly, efficient service to in-person clients, as well as on the phone.
- Interpersonal skills: Having the ability to feel comfortable dealing with clients and other staff members
- Technology skills: Having the ability to operate office technology
- Mental and physical stamina: Having the ability to stay calm in stressful situations
- Organizational skills: Having the ability to manage office operations and basic receptionist responsibilities.
