Veterinary Technician/Assistant Job at Columbia Animal Clinic
Columbia Animal Clinic is seeking full-time or part time positions available in our small, fast pace, one DVM animal clinic. We are located in Columbia Station, Ohio. Since April 2020, our clinic new operates on a appointment based system. Our team is searching for the right candidate with teamwork abilities, excellent communication skills, and strong work ethic. Must have flexible schedule, multitasking skills and shows caring and compassion to maintain patient care and client standards. Empolyee houring pay rate will be based off of experience.
Our technicians have a wide range of responsibilities, which are shared by everyone.
Triage appointments, Paitent/client communication
Patient Restraint
Curbside assistants
Filling medication
In-House Laboratory blood work
In-House Fecals & Urinaylsis
In-house Digital Radiographs
Daily Cleaning Chores
Surgery assisting/ Anesthesia Monitoring/ Surgery Patient Recovery
Patient Go Home Instructions
Kennel duties
Comfortable with End of Life discussions
Candidate must be comfortable working in an general veterinary practice as well as an “urgent/emergency” care atmosphere. Multi-tasking skills would come in very handy. Candidate should have great leadership, communication skills, empathy and client focus. Strong work ethic, open availability, motivated, independently thinking, fast pace and experience with patient restraint. Experience for this position is highly recommended but candidates will have on the job training.
Position is available for mornings & evening shifts and weekly hours vary from 25-40 per week.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Due to Covid-19 : All appointments wait in their cars until appointment time. Rooms are cleaned and disinfected between clients. Also doing curbside delivery.

- High school or equivalent (Required)
