Vice President, DTC Merchandising (Vans, Americas) Job at Vans
This is an exciting senior leadership role, in a beloved brand, known for it’s Off the Wall attitude. As the Vice President DTC Merchandising you will report to the General Manager of Vans Americas and be a member of the Vans Americas Senior Leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for directing, managing and overseeing all aspects of Omni Buying, Planning, Allocations and Replenishment in all business formats (Full Price, Outlet, Digital Commerce) across the US, Canada, & Mexico to deliver on a $1.6B+ financial plan. In addition, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, product productivity metrics, and logistics. It is imperative that you develop and implement business strategies to improve merchandise productivity and profitability. As a strategic business leader, you must continually seek ways to drive sales and develop brand image. DTC Merchandising is both art and science, and this role must balance both but leans a little more toward the science.

How You Will Make a Difference
What you will do:

Develops and manages Merchandise productivity plan (e.g. Direct Open To Buys, Assortment Plans, Forecasting, Markdown Plans, Margin Plans, Turn Goals, etc.).

Oversees Buying, Planning, Allocations, and Replenishment to closely monitor all retail merchandising performance, analyzes details and makes recommendations to maximize profitability through effective inventory management practices.

Accountable for overall achievement of financial category/classification targets, inventory levels, margins, turns, and sales promotions to ensure maximum return on investment.
How you will do it:

Integrates with regional product, and visual merchandising teams to manage retail spaces to best level, and maximize key strategic products and consumer initiatives.

Directs Development and Management of retail space plans with respect to merchandise for multiple store formats (existing and new) and digital commerce touch points.

Develops strategies, in partnership with WSL and regional product to maximize liquidation of regional excess product through outlet formats.
What success looks like:

Manages omni-channel logistics in partnership with Supply Chain by developing strategies for retail focused on delivering core product carry-overs and new drops that our consumers have come to expect.

Leads, develops, and retains a team of 60+ DTC professionals, while engaging and enabling ways of working with regional partners and executing alongside the broader regional merchandising team.

Upholds brand foundation/executes against the overall company product and marketing strategies as related to product and merchandising at Vans retail.

Educational Position Requirements:
A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
