The Vice President, Human Resources role is to
develop, direct and oversees the application and interpretation of Company’s Human Resources policies, objectives and initiatives. Responsible for ensuring company compliance with current and applicable labor and employment laws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct the application and interpretation of Human Resource policies for the company.
  • Manage and oversee Regional Directors Human Resources in the application of the employment process, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Develop, propose and present to senior management short term and long term plans, projects and strategies for the activities of the Human Resources department in support of the Company’s overall strategic and business objectives.
  • Investigate and respond to complaints
  • Provide advice and counsel on daily basis to senior management, regional team, administrators, department heads, and other management staff regarding all aspects of labor/employment issues.
  • Assist management in the implementation of performance improvement plans and the disciplinary process, including terminations.
  • Develop and conduct training for management staff in all aspects of labor and employment law, employee and/or labor relations and day-to-day HR requirements.
  • Develop, propose and direct collective bargaining strategy.
  • Manage and direct administration of collective bargaining agreement(s).
  • Manage litigation resulting from grievances, unfair labor practice charges, discrimination claims and related lawsuits.

Qualifications:
Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master's or JD preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience
  • SPHR or PHR certification, preferred
  • Travel 25+% or as needed
  • Must have HR experience in Healthcare, preferably long term care/subacute/assisted living.
