Summary
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for successfully leading and developing the Business Development Team to ensure each individual BDO meets and exceeds goals. Individual will be responsible for successfully developing, communicating, and executing a sales strategy that promotes a professional sales culture capable of achieving maximum sales volume, profitability, market penetration and sustained revenue growth in existing and target markets. The individual will be responsible for supporting the establishment of new top tier client accounts typically with a target of $350K in new business gross profit.
Additional responsibilities include talent management through selection & training of each new Business Development Officer. Duties and responsibilities will be carried through regular and consistent communication and interaction with all parties involved in sales and service. Use of proven business acumen with the responsibility for leading key corporate strategic planning efforts on behalf of the sales division which will include business strategy, sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
External Leadership (i.e., community involvement, board service, industry service, etc.) will also be an expectation of the Vice President of Sales.
Qualification Requirements
Position requires an individual with excellent organization and communication skills as he/she will be working with people from all levels of the organization and prospective clients. Individual should have a successful track record of building, developing, and effectively managing successful sales teams. Documented experience with writing proposals for RFP process, making presentations, and closing the sale with qualified target companies. Individual must be flexible in work schedule to accommodate business needs which will include frequent evening and weekend work along with some overnight travel. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Minimum Qualifications
· 4-year bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree a plus)
· At least 15 years Business Development Experience
· At least 7 years Management Experience
· Professional and Industrial Staffing or Recruiting Experience a plus
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment and handle multiple work assignments
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Knowledge of products and services offered by WorkForce Unlimited and Arevo Group
· Highly motivated and energetic with natural sales and leadership skills
· Strategic thinking, planning and execution
· Advanced pricing and negotiating skills
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM, and Internet
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Supervisory Responsibilities
Vice President of Sales will oversee the sales department for the company to include direct and indirection supervision of Director of Business Development and Business Development Officers within the Department
Essential Functions
· Directly responsible for facilitating and upholding Corporate Vision and core Values
· Directly responsible for the company’s new business top line revenue
· Develops plans and strategies for developing new business and achieving the company’s sales goals with profitable growth
· Manages the sales teams and provides resources to support all members being successful
· Monitor and recommend revisions to incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
· Defines and coordinates sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
· Exceed prospective client expectations and contribute to a high level of client commitment
· Hire, develop and train Business Development team members
· Provides accurate and detailed sales forecasting
· Develops infrastructure and processes to support effective behaviors and the success of the sales function
· Promote new business that includes cross selling of services including Direct Hire, Contract or Contract/Hire, or other ancillary solutions
· Develop sales presentations for potential clients and present to close the sale
· Negotiate bill rates for new clients that are consistent with gross margin targets
· Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, services offered, etc.
· Monitor the activity and behavior of sales team members to encourage effective use of time and meeting individual goals
· Responsible for keeping management informed of sales activity by submitting activity and results reports on a scheduled basis
· Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify potential clients in existing, neighboring, and target markets
· Partners with appropriate staff members to ensure successful servicing of client accounts
· Prepare job descriptions and conduct recruiting calls for new client orders when required
· Supervisory duties include performance management, approving payroll and paid time off, addressing disciplinary issues, and ensuring goals and quotas are met by the Business Development Officers
· Other duties may be assigned to the Vice President of Sales
