Video Studio Productions Manager

About Us:

‘Junto’ means together, and it was also the name of Ben Franklin’s original mastermind group for the purpose of mutual improvement (now the American Philosophical Society). Similarly, we want to create a collaborative club to amplify our dynamic abilities, helping to tell our and other’s valuable stories.

We have recently built 3 new studios, plus a common and creative area for a fully capable, boutique production studio. Our location is centrally located and easily accessible to both Center City Philadelphia and the Main Line, along the SEPTA Paoli-Thorndale rail line.

We plan to build a young and thriving team, attracting more creative talent, social media and marketing professionals, and post-production editors. A combination of on-site and remote contributors.

Available gear/capabilities:

· Blackmagic Design ATEM, Hyperdecks, & Ultimatte photorealistic broadcasting.

· Sony, Blackmagic, Canon and Insta360 cameras with a full array of lenses

· Camera Sliders, Jib, Gimbals, and shoulder mounts.

· Aputure lighting with ceiling grids, plus a theatrical projector with gobos

· Audio mixers with dynamic, shotgun, and wireless lavalier microphones

· SDI, HDMI, wireless HDMI, and tons of other cables : )

· Teleprompters, elgato streamdecks, and a lightboard

· Multiple computer stations, with both Windows and MacOS systems

· LiveU solo for remote/backup livestreaming

· Multiple monitors and recorders with 40x40 and 12x12 Smart VideoHubs

· Plus, ability to host off-site events with our projectors, lighting, and speakers

We seek to produce original content. Primarily for corporate clientele, but also with creatives across other industries. For example, the studio can also accommodate professional photographers. And we’re installing a ‘makerspace’ to develop creative sets and to store props. We’re also excited about our newest studio installation, large enough for small group sessions and cyclorama walls!

About this Position:

We seek a technical manager, to handle a variety of tasks such as operating, configuring, and trouble-shooting our A/V system -- running our production switchers, cameras, and sound equipment -- collaborating with creative talent and contracted video editors and graphic animators. You will be at the hub of operations!

There is no pressure to sell and attract new clients with this position. You will already be exposed to active entrepreneurs. We are most interested in developing consistent, high-quality, creative content.

To excel in this position, we seek lifetime learners who will pro-actively utilize our in-house resources, collaborate with team members and creative talent, and interact with external centers of influence.

Responsibilities:

· Video production

· Ensure setup and maintenance of audio & video equipment

· Manage the facility, including supplies & sets

· Collaborate with post-production editors, including data management

· Develop processes and quality checklists for best practices

· Support studio activity, including occasional off-site events

Technical:

Required:

· Advanced computer skills (MS/MacOS)

· Broadcasting skills & experience

· Camera & audio skills & experience

Preferred:

· Strong computer network and hardware experience

· vMix / eCamm / OBS / BlackMagic Design

· Adobe Premiere / DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro

· Streamdeck shortcuts
