This project focuses on developing vision and language learning algorithms to advance research in vision-and-language understanding. It involves developing algorithms that interpret visually-grounded natural language queries to facilitate micromobility applications such as vision-and-language navigation or visual question answering.

Key Responsibilities:
During the time of the internship, you are expected to develop algorithms to advance research in vision-and-language understanding. Potential research topics include (but not limited to):
- Deriving semantic-rich visual representations such as scene graph.
- Integrating external knowledge into vision-and-language tasks.
- Transfer learning for vision-and-language tasks.
- Creation of a vision-and-language benchmark dataset for micromobility applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or highly qualified M.S. candidate in computer science, electrical engineering, cognitive science, or related field.
- Strong familiarity with computer vision and natural language processing techniques pertaining to vision-and-language understanding.
- Experience in open-source deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or Tensorflow.
- Excellent programming skills in Python.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience in vision-language grounding or understanding research as demonstrated by publications or project portfolios.
