Volunteer Program Manager, SE Hub Job at Arbor Hospice
Req # 4203
This is a position that is all about working with people and doing so in order to fulfill a non-for-profit hospice mission. The work that you do in this role supports the volunteers who serve at the patient bedside and the volunteers who help our staff.
Working in the Volunteer Services Department at Hospice of Michigan means you are part of a statewide team of volunteer services. We have regular regional and statewide meetings and are a passionate, dedicated group who are enthusiastic about the work that we do and supporting one another. Becoming a member of our team, you participate in a new employee orientation as well as training with your direct manager and support from the statewide management team. The education you receive about hospice and this work is a tremendous learning opportunity which is designed to deepen your knowledge of both the hospice field and the volunteer management field. While volunteerism is a core piece of a non-profit, in hospice, volunteerism is required by the federal government. Due to this, you will have an opportunity to learn more about the regulatory world of healthcare while seeing the transformative effect volunteers can have for patients and families at the end-of-life. In addition to our orientation, we offer ongoing educational opportunities, creative opportunities as well as a competitive benefits and compensation program.
