Warehouse Department Manager 1
Schedule: 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

Essendant’s Suwanee facility is seeking qualified candidates for the Department Manager role that can effectively align people and process while working towards organizational objectives. Essendant promotes a culture that supports cross-functional opportunities and encourages leadership engagement within operations, logistics, and other functions.
Major Responsibilities and Skills required:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the operations. Provide regular coaching, counseling, and communication to associates.
- Supervise the activities of general warehouse operations by maintaining a clean and safe environment while being compliant with OSHA and Company Safety Guideline.
- Establishes goals, defines and plans projects to ensure operational strategies are focused on and executed.
- Manages leads performance through the performance management process while also working to develop professional goals.
- Interacts daily with other departments to resolve operational issues.
- Capture and analyze data on current processes to develop plans to meet established and future business needs.
- Manages people, processes, budgets, performance management, compliance activities, and associate development as required by the job.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Strong ability to communicate and be an effective leader for direct and indirect associates.
- Strong written and verbal/non-verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning, change management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate ability to solve problems, achieve results and foster a positive work environment.
- High degree of initiative, team building and dedication.
- Intermediate computer skills.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum of two years in a leadership role.
