POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Driver will work as part of the warehouse operations team, delivering materials from our warehouse in Jeffersonville IN to our vessels docked in Memphis TN - New Orleans LA - Redwing MN or other locations as needed. This job involves assembling loads, loading and unloading materials, safely operating company vehicle, and maintaining records and paperwork. Scheduling will include rotation working one (1) weekend per month.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive company vehicle over an established route between Louisville KY - Memphis TN - New Orleans LA - Red Wing MN (or other locations as needed) on a weekly basis to deliver provisions to our multiple vessels operating on the Mississippi River while they are docked in various turnover ports.
• Work both inside and outside of a warehouse environment to pick, pull, load, and deliver vessel supplies in a safe and efficient manner. Will include operation of forklift and other applicable warehouse equipment.
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Willing and able to work alternative schedule (to include weekend workdays with alternate days off during the week). Route will include overnight stays in Memphis TN, New Orleans LA, or other port cities.
• Must interact with all vendors and fellow employees in a friendly, professional manner while providing responsive, efficient service.
• Perform routine inspection of assigned vehicle and its load to ensure road safety.
• Must operate vehicle at all times in compliance with laws applicable to vehicle operation and transport.
• Display strong customer service skills, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-player approach.
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and possess/maintain an acceptable driving record/motor vehicle record at all times for duration of employment
• Ensure behavior and performance supports the company’s mission, vision, values and operating principles
• Solicits feedback; takes action to continuously improve success of team
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Professional Certification(s) or License:

• Valid Driver’s License (CDL not currently required)

Experience:

• Prior experience in warehouse distribution, interstate delivery, route delivery

Other:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess and maintain satisfactory MVR
• Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident/incident testing
• Additional requirements may be required depending on the physical needs of the role
