WAREHOUSE – FURNITURE SALES ASSOCIATE

AFR Furniture Clearance Center offers a wide inventory of previously rented and gently used furniture at drastically discounted prices. Throughout the week, our sale merchandise is actively updated with additional showroom samples, refurbished scratch and dent items, and one-of-a-kind furniture and décor pieces. We are open Tuesday - Saturday from 10am-6pm to the public. The Position: We’re looking for a Warehouse/Furniture Sales Associate located in Commerce, CA. The hours of this position will be Tuesday - Saturday from 10am to 6pm. The pay we’re offering starts at $42,000 annually plus commission. Required 1 to 2 years of experience preferred. Candidate must pass a Drug/Alcohol Test and Criminal Background Check.

Basic Function: Keep the showroom stocked with current furniture inventory, furniture sales and/or sales support will be required. This position will greet customers and assist them in making selections from our inventory of furniture. Responsible for providing superior customer service to our customers, being bilingual is a plus. Candidates must be highly motivated to achieve both team and personal goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality customer service to include assistance with purchases, suggestive selling and providing product information.
• Build and maintain an understanding of the stores products and price information to assist with customer purchases.
• Receive payments from customers, operate cash register and credit card machine and return appropriate change as needed.
• Restocking sales merchandise
• Tagging products for pricing
• Verify merchandise and manually tag with tickets daily
• Organize merchandise to prepare for shipment as needed
• Fill customer order in accordance with invoice, complete appropriate paperwork, and place a copy with the merchandise for shipment
• Prepare special promotional packages as needed
• Operate tape gun to seal boxes for shipment or stock daily
• Maintain a neat and orderly workplace at all times to include and report and dangerous conditions to management immediately

Qualification/Skills

• Lift up to 75-100 pounds on occasion
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual is a plus
• Organization and planning skills.
• Time management skills/ sense of urgency
• 1-2 years of previous sales experience preferred.
• Customer service skill
• POS and computer skills are a plus.
• Weekend hours required
