Summary/Objective: The Warehouse Supervisor position is responsible for ensuring that all day-to-day activities of the receiving team are performed safely, effectively, and efficiently. This includes, but is not limited to, planning and execution of the overall receiving operations. This position is responsible for the proper logistics in relation to the life cycle of all material components including receipts, storage, rotation, and delivery to/from the production area. This position is responsible for overseeing that all Production Supply Area locations are appropriately supplied the material components necessary to satisfy process order requirements. The position is also responsible for ensuring all required SAP receipt transactions are complete, compliant, and accurate.

Supervise the unloading of inbound materials, the storage and delivery of material components, and the staging and loading of vendor return items. Coach and train team members on the care and preservation of items stored, following all material handling requirements. Facilitate the certification and safe operation of all warehouse equipment. Understand and train team members on the use of the warehouse management system (SAP) including computers, scanners, vehicle mounted devices, and label printers. Coordinate daily shift huddles and provide directional information for the departmental operations. Standardize operating procedures for all activities within the Receiving Department. Provide and implement recommended process improvements within the department. Review records to help ensure accuracy of information and compliance for established policies. Prepare reports, identify opportunities, and maintain records for Warehouse Manager. Ensure that all team member disputes are actively investigated and resolved. Other duties as assigned.
Food Quality, Safety and Security: The employee must initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities relating to food safety and the quality of the product, process, quality or safety system. The employee stops production, if necessary, to correct food safety issues, quality issues or safety problems. The employee identifies and records any problems relating to food safety, quality of the product, processes, quality system or safety system. The employee controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of food safety of quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. The employee informs line supervisor, production manager, QA manager, or other management personnel of any food safety or quality issues, or of any processes which become noncompliant with specified requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has supervisory responsibilities for the Receiving Dept., Unitizer positions, and Reimelt operators.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position may also require lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full¬-time, salaried, position. The primary schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, with most weekend days off, lasting a minimum of 8 hours and a maximum of 12 hours in most circumstances. The employee must be able to work different shifts at times to be available to back shift team members.
Travel: Limited travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED is preferred.
Preferred Education and Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing experience is preferred. 2 years of enterprise resource planning experience a plus.
