Overview

The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for the receiving of all raw materials for the plant, miscellaneous receipts from courier delivery services, and the shipping of finished goods materials to either warehouse locations or customer locations. This position must maintain accurate and timely inventory and participate in physical inventory taking as needed, and will also be responsible for monitoring any damaged materials or equipment and bringing this to the attention of management for corrective action.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ability to learn and use SAP software for shipping and Inventory documentation and processes.
• Responsible for picking, checking, and packing products from the warehouse, in addition to the staging, loading, and unloading of products.
• Support daily plant operations with regard to raw material receipts, staging and inventory, and daily warehouse operations with regard to shipping and inventory management.
• Communicate immediately to Plant Manager any discrepancies or nonconformities found on received and stored materials, tools, and/or finished products.
• Properly identify and store raw materials, supplies and products according to defined processes and enter quantities in warehouse management system.
• Accurately and promptly determine raw materials in warehouse to be picked, gathered or distributed based on production schedule. Removed unused quantities from the tower and replace in the warehouse.
• Fulfill customer orders by accurately selecting products as specified on the pick tickets. This is accomplished by arranging the orders on pallets, systematically recording product (bag numbers) and labeling as required.
• Convey products, materials, and/or finished goods to and/or from warehouse locations for use in the production process or in preparation for shipment by effectively operating material handling equipment such as industrial lift trucks, electric walkies, pallet jacks, etc.
• Sort, place, and identify materials and/or products on racks, block storage, shelves, or bins according to pre-determined sequence such as: FIFO-principles, Size, Type, Style, Colour, Product Code, or Warehouse location.
• Record and verify that orders ready for shipment comply with the all pick ticket specifications.
• Safely and carefully load and unload trucks and/or containers with stacked finished products, raw materials, and/or other items.
• Assist other operators as directed by supervisors in performing all activities associated with product warehousing and any other task assigned by supervisors.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the warehouse.
• Other duties as required.

Education

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent
• Forklift Certified

Experience

• 2-5 years of related experience in a process/manufacturing warehouse environment
