Wastewater Collections Technician Job at City of Conover
The City of Conover is seeking an eager, team-oriented individual to fill the position of Wastewater Collections Technician within the City’s Public Utilities Department. The Wastewater Collections Technician will work under general supervision from Department Heads or Crew Leader. An employee in this class performs semi-skilled work in the operations, evaluation, maintenance, and repair of lines and service in the sewage collection system. Work involves the responsibility for maintaining and repairing sewer lines and lift stations. Work may also include at times the maintenance and upkeep of equipment, grounds, facility maintenance, and record keeping of the wastewater treatment plants or residuals program.
The City of Conover offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. The hiring salary range for this position is $15-$19 and hour; equaling $31,200-$39,520 annually. The City provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance; flexible spending accounts, Local Government Employees Retirement System (LGERS) contribution; 401k Plan contribution equivalent to 5% of salary, annual vacation beginning at 15 days per year, and sick leave; paid holidays.
