Wax Pattern Maker – 1st Shift

Monday – Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm

Starting Pay: $18.00 hour

$2,000 Sign-On Bonus!

What you’ll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relative experience in a manufacturing environment.

ADDITIONAL COMPANY PROVIDED TRAINING

What you’ll be doing:

  • Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as part number, and number of wax patterns to inject.
  • Examine work pieces for defects and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws to scrap out the parts.
  • Ensure proper mechanical placement and removal of core and pattern dies; control the temperature and pressure gauges and clean and maintain dies in good working condition.
  • May assist with setups and adjustments under supervision.
  • Control process time according to die instructions and meet the established standard rate time assigned to each pattern.
  • Run the injection presses/dies to create wax patterns as instructed.
  • Inspect and clean wax parts using wax pattern standards.
  • Inspect die for flash or wax build up conditions.
  • Perform trimming and patching on parts as described in work instructions and standards.
  • Keep accurate counts on parts injected and for any scrap produced.
  • Keep set up person informed of any problems or issues that arise.
  • Stop running press for non-conforming part issues or maintenance concerns/ contact lead or management.
  • Finish the assigned work in the allotted time and maintain the production levels.
  • Feed the number and types of parts worked on in the ERP system using the routers.
  • Place scrap castings in assigned carts as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Use computer programs to record accurate data/follow router/ achieve rates established or notify lead person for effective communication.
  • Inspect and report product or equipment defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Report any accident occurred in the plant related to person, equipment, material or any other to the Production Supervisor as soon as possible.
  • Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Employee Handbook and adhere to proper code of conduct while in the company property.
  • Ensure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.
  • Perform all work in a safe and efficient mannerand comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Attend scheduled training programs to enhance skills and for safety purposes.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by your supervisor.

Skills & Physical Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of math, reading, and arithmetic.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of machines and tools.
  • Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as desired.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to gloves and ear protection.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, unassisted.
