IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Coordinator of Software Development
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
EMPLOYMENT TERM: 261 Days
SALARY: Pursuant to WV Code §18A-4-2, in accordance with Kanawha County Schools Specialist Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and education level.
EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated by the Coordinator of Software Development in accordance with WV State Code §18A-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5310, and KCSBOE Policy Performance Evaluation of School Personnel - Administrative Procedures.
JOB SUMMARY: To design, write procedures, and/or web applications for complete web data processing systems. To assist the Director of Information Systems and to perform other data processing tasks as assigned.

- Design, create and implement web applications for requesting departments/schools.
- Design, create and implement reports for requesting departments/schools.
- Design, create and implement databases for requesting departments/schools.
- Design, create and implement web applications displaying/collecting information from/to databases for requesting departments.
- Maintain and troubleshoot web problems on our servers.
- Document/maintain systems to provide for security and continuity.
- Communicate effectively utilizing the best method of communication for each circumstance.
- Resolve internal and external problems directly (whenever possible), fairly and professionally.
- Utilizes self-appraisal for the improvement of administrative skills.
- Take responsibility for creating a positive working environment and good employee morale.
- Demonstrates unbiased attitudes in fulfilling administrative responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science preferred, minimum of 2 years of experience in a web/software development position.
- 2+ years of experience designing web forms, active server pages displaying and collecting data.
- 2+ years of experience with data processing relating to online systems in a business environment.
- 2+ years of experience converting mechanical and clerical processes into automated systems.
- 2+ years of experience evaluating the capabilities and limitations of software and hardware systems.
- 2+ years of experience with interpersonal, interdepartmental, and vendor communication both written and verbal
- 2+ years of experience operating efficiently under little supervision
- 2+ years of experience working with PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- 2+ years of experience working with SQL (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access).
- 2+ years of experience working with Content Management Systems such as WordPress.

- Preferred 1+ years of experience working with WP Gravity Forms.
