Position Summary:

WPS industries is looking for skilled Welders for our West Monroe, LA manufacturing facility. You will use your knowledge to cut and join plate and sheet metal products. Hiring bonus incentive and relocation assistance is available for the ideal candidate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Weld material according to customer specifications
• Interpret welding symbols and procedures
• Ability to set up and operate necessary welding equipment
• Perform other essential functions within the shop when necessary, including fitting and fabricating

Qualifications:

• Experience with Flux core or certification.
• Ability to read and understand weld symbols
• Ability to pass a visual FCAW weld test in the vertical and overhead positions
• Previous experience in a steel fabrication environment, is a plus
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to high safety and quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet customer expectations
• Ability to work overtime
• Ability to provide regular, punctual attendance
