Welder Job at Integrated Warehouse Solutions, Inc.
Essential functions:
- Always follow the procedures outlined for the job being performed
- Always use the check list provided to ensure quality objectives are being met
- Perform work outlined in daily schedule.
- Insures all components for next day's work are ready.
- Maintain fixtures & table.
- Attend monthly safety meetings and participates on the Safety Committee if selected
- Deliver completed work to next in-process work station.
- Check for accuracy of subassemblies.
- Complete daily and weekly equipment inspection reports if applicable.
- Check settings on welding machine & cutting equipment prior to beginning work.
- Maintain tools & machinery required for the job.
- Perform welding & fitting operations in compliance with standard or custom drawings.
- Work in a safe manner & obey all safety policies.
- Work overtime if necessary.
- Clean work area each day.
- Complete inventory of subassemblies.
- Communicate with plant manager daily when working off shifts.
Competencies:
- Pass the IWS Test, as administered by the Plant Foremen
- High school math skills. Will be required to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
- Perform all required welds of steel and aluminum within quality standards.
- Ability to read measuring tape to 1/16".
- Ability to set up & maintain welding, cutting & other power equipment.
- Ability to lift up to seventy pounds.
- Ability to read schedules, drawings & time records.
- Ability to identify & count parts and subassemblies in order to complete internal inventory.
- Ability to operate 5000# forklift safely and responsibly.
- Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Mechanical aptitude
