SUMMARY

The Welder/Fabrication Assistant position is an important member of our Fabrication department. By helping fabrications, you will assist in the ongoing daily operations of our bakery.

This position is for full time employment with paid holidays and vacation (after a probationary period). The position would include duties such as cutting materials with a band saw, grinder, and assembling material parts. All work must be done with meticulous care and skill based on the provided designs and oversight.

The Fabrication Technician will report directly to the Fabrication Manager who will assign appropriate long-term goals and objectives. The Fabrication Technician will be involved in daily tasks, goals, and project planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in cutting, welding, and fixturing a variety of systems
• Pull, measure, and gather material as specified in preparations
• Assemble custom developed systems according to engineered drawings
• Inspect quality and accuracy for parts and assemblies
• Mig Welding, Stick Welding, Aluminum Welding, TIG welding
• Perform installation, repairs, inspection, retrofitting, and adjusting as required
• Collaborate with team on Designs and Drawings (for fabrication shop programming purposes)
• Assist in bakery improvements as time allows
• Some onsite installation may be required
• Perform preventive maintenance on some shop equipment
• Communicate with other team members and assist with training team members as needed

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• 2 Years minimum welding experience in Mig, Tig, and Heliarc
• SS Welding Experience
• Knowledge in reading engineered drawings
• CAD knowledge a plus (SolidWorks, DraftSight)
• Measuring/tape measure and calipers
• Metal cutting, vertical and horizontal bandsaw, plasma cutter
• Angle grinding, drill press, tapping
• Tools needed included but not limited to Metric and Standard wrenches, allen wrenches,

combination square

• Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated individual and proactive team member
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Standing for consecutive hours may be required
• Ability to work flexible hours or schedule as needed

(scheduled shift will be between 7:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.)

• Will be responsible for additional duties and/or responsibilities that may be designated by the manager
• Must be capable of regularly lifting and handling equipment and materials weighing over 50 lbs
• Food manufacturing experience and/or knowledge preferred
