WE ARE GROWING FAST, OPPORTUNITIES FOR CAREER GROWTH! Navistar Defense has an immediate need Welding Inspectors in our manufacturing plant located in West Point, MS. Day and Afternoon shifts needed. some Friday Overtime. Inspectors will be assigned End of Line Trailer Weld Inspection or Detachable Towing Unit line, based upon skill. Requires certification and 2-5 yrs welding inspector experience.
Preferred Qualifications include the following (not all are required for position, but candidates should hold some welding certification and at least 3 years vehicle welding inspector experience):
- Hold or held AWS, ASME or other national welding code welder certification in GMAW and FCAW.
- Possess basic computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Hold or held SNT-TC-1A certification to Level II or III, using Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant.
- Associate or higher degree in welding or non-welding related engineering technology, engineering, or a physical science preferred.
- Currently holds certification as an AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
- 1-5 years working as a CWI in a facility that manufactures vehicles, preferably military vehicles.
- Experience working for an ISP 9001 certified organization is preferred.
