SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLSWiscasset School DepartmentWiscasset, MaineStart Date: July 1, 2023Application Deadline: January 20, 2023The Wiscasset School Committee is seeking a Superintendent of Schools to lead the Wiscasset School Department forward. Wiscasset is a small rural town nestled in Midcoast Maine along the Sheepscot River with a year-round population of just under 4,000 residents. The School Department is comprised of two schools, Wiscasset Elementary and Wiscasset Middle High School, which serve a combined population of 456 students in grades Pre-K-12.The School Committee seeks to fill this position with a leader who has demonstrated a strong and clear vision and focus in positively supporting a growing and developing school department. In addition, the successful candidate will have significant experience in developing and managing school budgets, personnel management, human relations experience and strong familiarity with Maine school law.
