Gotham companies is looking for Radiologic Technologist who is a responsible healthcare professional that specializes in performing diagnostic imaging procedures to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. They use various imaging technologies, such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT) scanners, or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines, to create detailed images of the body's internal structures.
Job duties:
- Preparing patients for imaging procedures: explaining the procedure to patients, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operating imaging equipment: operating X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI machines, or other imaging technologies to capture images of the body.
- Adjusting equipment settings: selecting the appropriate imaging techniques and adjusting machine settings to obtain clear and accurate images.
- Administering contrast agents: in some cases, administering contrast agents orally, intravenously, or through other methods to enhance the visibility of specific body structures during imaging procedures.
- Assisting physicians: collaborating with physicians to determine the best imaging techniques to use for specific conditions and providing technical support during procedures.
- Maintaining imaging equipment: ensuring that imaging equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in good working condition. Reporting any malfunctions or equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
- Patient care and safety: adhering to radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and themselves from unnecessary exposure to radiation.
- Documenting patient information: accurately documenting patient information, procedure details, and imaging results in electronic medical records.
