Big Bend Cares/Care Point Health & Wellness Center Tallahassee, FL 32301
Care Point Health & Wellness is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician to perform radiological duties in compliance with regulatory and departmental requirements, and ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the patient’s body needs imaging.
- Perform radiological duties in compliance with x-ray department and legal requirements.
- Talk patients through procedures and answer questions effectively.
- Correctly position patients, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position.
- Ensure prevention of avoidable radiation exposure.
- Follow appropriate techniques and procedures such as patient shielding.
- Perform selected nursing and administrative/clerical duties that assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management under the direction of a physician.
- Keep good and accurate patient records in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Schedule:
- Part-Time (Tuesday – Thursday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Experience and Education Requirement:
- Graduate from an accredited program for Radiological Technology or Basic X-Ray Machine Operator, required.
- Two (2) years of X-ray Technologist experience in a corresponding setting is preferred.
- EMR system experience is preferred.
- Current Radiologic Technologist license and must be registered with the America Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART), required.
