How this role supports our mission:

The Youth Restoration Program is a dual program/work placement at Goodwill for ages 18-24 who can benefit from both case management services and full time employment. In addition to gaining hard skills, Associates will receive support earning a driver’s license, GED or High School diploma and/or opening their own checking and savings accounts. The Youth Restoration Associate receives on-the-job training in basic carpentry, landscaping, painting, and other soft skills to succeed in the workplace. It is expected that Associates will actively participate in career planning, set education goals and when ready, seek employment in the community.


What we require from you:

Ability and willingness to perform all job tasks with a positive attitude.
Communicate in an honest, polite, and well-intentioned manner.
Do the right thing.
Perform daily maintenance on facilities, which includes but is not limited to landscaping, painting, cleaning and assembly of items
Participate in projects as they occur
Assist other departments as needed
Provide excellent customer service
Meet all safety rules and report injuries or accidents immediately
Secure merchandise at the end of the shift
Work with minimum supervision

Work performed primarily inside and outside corporate facilities

Use of various power tools

Working from a ladder

Exposure to paint and cleaning chemicals

High adaptability required: Work environment usually hectic (fast-paced) with frequent short deadlines and regular instances of critical or unusual situations
Ability to meet physical demands of job (lift a minimum of 35 pounds, stand for long periods at a time; bend, reach and stretch repeatedly during a shift)
Ability to work M-F, full time position
