Summary

3D CAD and Digital Illustrator works in both the CAD design world and the photo realistic 3D rendering world. The final product of this position is 2D Machine Layout Drawings (MLD) and full-color, photo-realistic, 3-dimensional illustrations depicting Haas machines and internal components in cross-section views including descriptive diagrams, exploded view illustrations and semi-realistic assembly illustrations. The process starts with complete 3D models of Haas CNC machines that need to be simplified for use in the process. Strong experience in SolidWorks, 3D Studio Max, Redshift and standard Adobe products like Photoshop, etc. This position requires sold mechanical knowledge, but offers some freedom on the render and animation side.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Works within the marketing schedule to ensure that all assigned 3D model, MLD, illustration tasks and special projects are completed on time.
• Work on Macintosh and/or PC platform computers, using software programs such as Solidworks, 3-D Studio Max, Photoworks and Adobe Photoshop and other 3-D rendering software.
• Create light defeatured 3-D Models, some realistic renderings, exploded view diagrams and simple 2-D Machine Layout Drawings quickly and efficiently.
• Create photo-realistic illustrations, renderings, exploded view diagrams and simple 2-D drawings quickly and efficiently.
• Uses digital camera, photo scanning and retouching in Adobe Photoshop.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have experience working in computer software programs such as, Solidworks, 3-D, Cinema 4-D, Photoworks, Redshift and Adobe Photoshop.
• Must possess the ability to take on complex machine designs and simplify for customer use.
• Must possess some engineering background, mechanical aptitude and understanding of how mechanical devices work.
• Can comprehend basic and advanced technical specifications and mechanical workings of Haas products and mechanical systems.
• Must possess the ability to create complex, photo-realistic, 3-D modeling illustrations and renderings.

Desired Qualifications

• Skilled 3+ years or more in 3-D model experience within Solidworks and some machine tool background or exposure to machine tools would be helpful.

Education

Associate's degree AA/AS/AAS from a two-year college or technical school is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
