Your role as a 3D Character Artist at Movella

OBSKUR, recently acquired by Movella, is seeking an experienced 3D Character Artist to aid in creating the best interactive VTuber Rigs powered by Xsens, and our inhouse applications, integrations, and MMO metaverse games.

You will be part of the OBSKUR art team and report to the Principle Designer. This is a fully remote position. You’ll get the opportunity to learn advanced pipelines for Stylized/Anime UE4 realtime characters.

This is a remote position with US pacific time zone core hours.

Key challenges :

• Collaborate with Principal Designer to create real-time 3D character assets
• Collaborate with Asset Finalizer to properly export assets for integration
• Help generate creative ideas for content.

Movella is looking for a self-starting 3D Character Aritst. Someone who thrives in an environment where your passion for innovation and teamwork are highly appreciated. You have:

• 2+ years of professional 3D production experience creating characters/avatars
• Advanced skills in Maya and/or Blender
• Attention to detail in Modeling/Topology and Appeal
• Excellent sense of human anatomy, shape, proportions, and silhouette
• Creative mindset, with the Twitch audience in mind
• Excellent verbal communication and teamwork skills
• Online portfolio

Preferable

• Experience creating content for streamers and understand the Unreal Engine content pipeline.
• Expertise in Unreal Engine shading and lighting; proficiency in various shader techniques
• Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter
• Hard-surface modeling
• Knowledge of PBR based workflows
• General knowledge of rigging, skinning, and unreal asset export
