Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will play a key and upward mobile role within the accounting/finance infrastructure of the company. This position will be part of a fast-paced, expanding business environment, which demands strong analytical skills with the ability to see the overall picture, while maintaining sharp attention to the details. The successful candidate must also have the desire to make a positive difference and continuously look to improve efficiencies, while welcoming opportunities to learn and grow within the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations in accordance with GAAP, including general ledger transactions, accounts payable, and fixed assets, as well as a liaison to HR on payroll accounting issues.
  • Hands on responsibility for the timely month-end close process, including preparation and posting of standard journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Support the Controller in the preparation of financial reports, analysis of critical financial information and presentation to management.
  • Work collaboratively across all company departments while communicating effectively, completing tasks assigned within the timeframe provided, and being flexible to assist with other tasks or duties assigned.
  • Direct oversight of 2 team members and coordination of financial data with FP&A position.
  • Assist with the development of the annual budget, monitoring and reforecasting.
  • Coordinate annual financial audit, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Drive process improvement and implementation of new procedures.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
  • 5-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in fast-paced growing public or private corporate environment.
  • Healthcare experience a big plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Experience in multi-entity financial reporting
  • Strong focus on the details with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems, experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus.
  • Excellent critical thinking, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills at all levels.
  • Strong work ethic, passionate and enthusiastic personality with a high degree of integrity, and a positive attitude.

Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time, in person, position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 / annually
