Overview: Records payments to customers’ accounts and maintains accounts receivable records by performing the following duties:
- Prepare weekly/monthly customer statements & electronic claims for submission to VA.
- Calculate / Post receipts to customer accounts
- Help verify status of delinquent accounts / solicit payments of overdue accounts
- Prepare periodic reports / perform other relevant administrative duties
- Reconcile monthly Accounts Receivable activity
- Ensure the accuracy of all data to produce reports for accounting department
- Ensure patient billing information details are kept up-to-date
Skills Required
- Excellent sense of numbers and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented, committed to accuracy and excellent customer service.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment and maintain a sense of urgency.
- Ability to research and implement new billing methods. ie Passport, Insurance, Medicare, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Above average communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Medical billing experience preferred but not required. This is NOT a medical coding position.
- Knowledge of Alora a plus, not required.
