Summary: Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the collection of approximately $160M accounts receivable balances and credit functions. The Supervisor is also responsible for the supervision of Cash Application Specialists and Credit Associates, including mentoring and assisting with core responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
  • Collect and maintain of all Strategic Accounts
  • Prepare final demand letters
  • Ensure orders on hold are released in a timely manner if appropriate
  • Analyze financial data and review with the Controller
  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Prepare Key Performance Indictors for Accounts Receivable and Collections
  • Conduct credit reviews and determine appropriate credit limit
  • Oversee new account setup and ensure applications are processed within the required timeline
  • Ensure staff is performing account maintenance on existing accounts in a timely manner
  • Support Sales team with customer issues
  • Perform due diligence for credit balances and submit as unclaimed property, if appropriate
  • Handle any bankruptcy issues and submit bad debt to collection agencies
  • Ensure all customer payments and adjustments are applied timely and accurately
  • Oversee and assist with unapplied payments
  • Manage and Mentor staff members and monitor their performance
  • Develop and improve processes within department to be more efficient
  • Assist with year-end audit
  • Maintaining up-to-date SOP’s and work instructions for key processes

Supervisory Responsibilities: Cash Application Specialists and Credit Associates
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of credit and collections experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years of Supervisor or management experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Intermediate level Excel knowledge, including basic lookups, pivot tables, and sorting & filtering
