Advertising Sales Manager

This position will lead the Daily Inter Lake, Whitefish Pilot, Hungry Horse News and Bigfork (weeklies) local advertising sales team, including daily management of team and developing strategy to achieve teams revenue targets. This is a working sales manager position responsible for individual selling and business development in addition to the leadership of the local account executives. This position reports to the Advertising Director at the Daily Inter Lake

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee Local Advertising Sales Team, helping to strategize with team members to reach teams revenue objectives.
• Spend 70-75% of time in client meetings or in the field with account executives driving sales or individually prospecting.
• Develop, launch and monitor revenue-generating projects for team.
• Develop strategies to grow emerging media: digital, podcast, contests, etc.
• Assist director of sales in tasks and projects for overall advertising department as needed.
• Develop client proposals and sales presentations as needed for account executives.
• Onboard and train new team members and other account executives within the advertising department.
• Maintain excellent customer relationships.
• Grow revenue from existing accounts and help businesses grow by learning more about their needs and presenting digitally focused multimedia solutions.
• Meet assigned monthly revenue goals.
• Prospect, forecast and plan for future initiatives.
• Serve as back-up to vacant positions on sales team; working account lists and territories as needed.
• Assist director of sales in revenue projections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
