CNC setup / Operator
AS9100 Rev D, Aerospace Manufacturing Company in Huntington Beach has an immediate opening for an experienced CNC Setup/Operator machinist.
Position
Setup and operate Multi Axis CNC Mills/ Gantries daily, following company policies and procedures while utilizing a high level of experience and good judgement.
- Experience required setting up and running CNC mills in the aerospace industry.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Tolerancing
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., or use forklifts/Big Joe lifts
- Ability to properly utilize hand inspection tools (Mic’s & Calipers etc.)
- Basic math required
Daily job duties but not limited to
- Setup jobs on CNC mills utilizing job travelers, setup sheets, and programs.
- Setup using raw material/fixture, clamps, vises, and indicators as needed.
- Prepare cutting tools from tool list with proper length, and geometry verifying length offsets, diameters, etc.
- Measure and verify key features on parts.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
- Maintain equipment by following daily maintenance needs.
- Complete paperwork as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
