If you have a passion for improving the lives of children and families, join the team at Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh! Positions are available for after-school care during the 2022-2023 school year.
Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh provides after-school care to over 700 youth in the Oshkosh area at licensed child-care facilities in Lakeside Elementary, Shapiro STEM Academy, and Omro Elementary. Youth Development Staff are responsible for implementing the daily activities of each site.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a structured environment in compliance with Wisconsin State Licensing Rules and Regulations.
- Working closely with the Director of Childcare to ensure safe and smooth operation of the program, including fulfillment of program curriculum.
- Communicating effectively with children and their families.
The pay range for Youth Development Professionals is $14.00 – $15.00 per hour.
Ideal work schedules are:
- Lakeside & Shapiro: 2:30 – 6:00, Monday – Friday
- Omro: 2:30 – 5:30 Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri and 1:15 – 5:30 on Wednesdays
These schedules may be flexible.
Additional information/requirements:
- This role is a mandated child abuse reporter.
- Successful applicants will have completed 2 non – credit department-approved courses in early childhood education or be currently enrolled in a department-approved education course. See Licensing Rules and Regulations Manual HFS 46 for more details.
- Previous experience working with early childhood/elementary age children preferred.
- Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or become certified within 30 days of hire.
- Must be able to interact physically with children during program activities.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
