Position Summary:
The Applications Administrator oversees the day-to-day operation of the Salesforce application, as well as our SharePoint and Teams environments. The Applications Administrator works with stakeholders to define system requirements and customize the platforms to achieve business goals and enable users to get the most out of the technology.
The Applications Administrator is a highly cross-functional position requiring extensive interaction with team members across multiple departments. This person should be a go-getter, analytical, and resourceful in nature, and a natural problem solver. This role will require you to be an independent contributor who collaborates effectively with a variety of stakeholders. A successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work with all organizational levels proactively and effectively within a fast-moving company, particularly interfacing between lines of business, operations, and internal cross-functional stakeholders.
The Applications Administrator will participate on company-wide projects to enhance Salesforce, SharePoint, Teams, and other applications based on business requirements. The Applications Administrator must be proficient in Salesforce, SharePoint, Office 365, business intelligence software, and other key applications.

Position Responsibility Break Down:
Salesforce Administration: 70%
- Serve as primary system administrator for our Salesforce environment
- Work with internal stakeholders and the Business Operations Manager to create, maintain, and distribute performance dashboards for KPIs, measurable through Salesforce, including pipeline management, user task and event management.
- Participate in cross-functional teams that address issues involving CRM and business operations, act in a consultative capacity to ensure Salesforce optimization.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand current business processes, identify gaps between current processes and enterprise processes, define solutions to address gaps, document user stories, and business requirements and articulate associated business value.
- Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience.
- Manage all aspects of user, security and access, and license management.
- Provide analysis to drive prioritization of user stories across multiple business processes and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to leverage the Salesforce platform to address pain points and drive business value; conversely, advise when Salesforce is not the appropriate platform for a process.
- Design and implement business solutions to satisfy requirements while ensuring quality, scalability, and timely delivery.
- Document workflows and processes, create training materials for workflows and tools, onboard and train new team members.
- Own the communication, deployment and training related to platform changes, new features to end users and stakeholders.
- Drive Salesforce adoption and optimize the user experience.
- Provide change logs and documentation on updates made to the platform.
- Address user questions, aggregate and prioritize user feedback, and plan and implement Salesforce enhancements based on personal expertise, user feedback and organizational goals.
- Stays up to date with Salesforce releases and new functionality as well as competitive landscape for apps and tools integrated with Salesforce.
SharePoint (and Teams) Administration: 20%
Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other relevant field
- Preferred: MBA or master's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
Required:
3+ years' experience as a Salesforce Sales Cloud Administrator; Day to Day Operations of Salesforce Applications
Preferred:
· 2+ years' experience as a SharePoint Administrator preferred
· Working in a Government Contracting environment, familiar with Government Contracting regulations and related acquisition processes
Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
- Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Advanced Salesforce certification(s)
